Our Gifts

Dearly Beloved,

Thanks to everyone who attended our Annual Meeting on Sunday -- we got a lot of business done. Just a reminder that we will have Sabbatical Informational Meetings following worship on Sunday, February 16 & 23. I hope you'll join us!

On Sunday, January 19, we shared some of our gifts, and as we prepare to install incoming leaders and thank outgoing leaders this coming Sunday, I thought it would be good to take a look at those gifts:

LOVE.              Offer to do snacks after Sunday service              Helping Others
Voice teaching        Empathy & Understanding      Advocate        *Light*
Sing           Singing God's praises             Saying my prayers at night
Fellowship with church brethren         fixing things for others
Music             Healing       Problem Solving.         Smart       woodworking
I want to share food and welcome to those who feel lonely & hungry.
Language       Caregiver     Buddy System      Peace      Curiosity    Service
Educating about women's health      Caring for others   Remaining optimistic
Intelligence & Love     Time                            Connecting/Caring with/for people
Very good listener        making things       Leadership   help my neighbors
helping people feel special and not alone                Careful thinking    Speaking
cultivating community        playing         exploring            making art

Perhaps your gift is listed in here (I tried to capture all of the ones that we got papers for), perhaps it's not and you'd like to share your gift, or perhaps you've thought of an additional gift.

I hope we can be in conversation in the coming year about how and where we as a congregation can celebrate, cultivate and provide opportunities for you to live more deeply into your gifts. Together, let us cultivate God's beloved community: in our congregation, in our wider community, in our country, and in our world.

With love, hope, and gratitude,
Thandiwe
