New shop opens to support programs, build community
In June 2023, First Congregational Church opened Thrifts and Gifts, a shop featuring donated clothing and some household items, as well as a series of handmade products from people in the congregation and friends and relatives. It is open Friday and Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm.
“I think it’s amazing,” said Rev. Thandiwe Dale-Ferguson, pastor of the church, adding, “It’s not just about raising money, it is about building relationships and community!”
We are open on Friday and Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm.
Jewelry Just in Time for Mother’s Day
Looking for something for the Mom in your life for Mother’s Day? Stop by Thrifts and Gifts on the Friday and Saturday before Mother’s Day. We’ll be featuring lots of great jewelry and you might find some other “gems” in the shop as well that she would appreciate.
We are currently accepting donations of jewelry in support of this theme. Now’s the time to look through those jewelry boxes and see what you’d like to part with.
All donations can be dropped off during Thrifts and Gifts store hours between 10 and 3 on Fridays and Saturdays, in addition to Thursday mornings 9AM – noon when we are setting up the store.
Thank you! We couldn’t do it without your donations. As a reminder, all funds generated by Thrifts and Gifts go directly to the church’s operating budget in support of all the good work being done.
