Slammin' Famine

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Slammin' Famine event, and a HUGE thank you to the Mission and Outreach for providing funds to support our church participation in this event!

Update

About 26 FCC members participated in an event to help supply young, hungry children in other parts of the world with life-sustaining meals. From 9:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, February 14th, we worked on two stations, packing 56 boxes with 36 meals each, for a total of 2,016 meals. In that brief period, we were able to provide meals for 272 children for a year. Pretty amazing!! We were joined by many other local churches, small businesses, families, and caring individuals. And it was fun!! We danced to music while we were measuring, weighing, sealing, and packing those meals.
