New shop opens to support programs, build community
In June 2023, First Congregational Church opened Thrifts and Gifts, a shop featuring donated clothing and some household items, as well as a series of handmade products from people in the congregation and friends and relatives. It is open Friday and Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm.
“I think it’s amazing,” said Rev. Thandiwe Dale-Ferguson, pastor of the church, adding, “It’s not just about raising money, it is about building relationships and community!”

Volunteer Opportunities
Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that will benefit Loveland UCC? Are you looking for a fellowship opportunity - a chance to spend time with other like-minded individuals? Are you looking to make a difference in our community? If so, Thrifts and Gifts is the place for you!
Our typical weekly volunteer opportunities include:
Thursday morning 10 AM - noon set-up of the store
Friday and Saturday store hours 10AM- 3PM (We have a morning and an afternoon shift on these days.)
Close-down helpers on Saturdays from 2:45 - 3:30
P.S. If you know of anyone that might be interested in volunteering, even if they aren’t a member of the church, please forward this to them. We have several members of the community that are on our team. You do not need to be a member of the Loveland UCC to be a part of the Thrifts and Gifts Team.

Donations
We are now accepting donations of gently used and clean donations for us to sell in the shop - which could include linens, kitchenware, table dressings, everyday decorations, jewelry, men’s and women’s clothing, outwear and footwear.
You may bring your donations to the church Fellowship Hall on Thursday mornings between 10 AM and noon OR during our open shopping hours (Fridays and Saturdays 10AM – 3PM).
