Time for the Young & Young at Heart -

Sunday Mornings

Each Sunday morning, our young and young at heart are invited forward to reflect with Pastor Thandiwe or another adult on what it means to people of faith. This is a time of mutual learning, questions and laughter. All are welcome to participate! And we celebrate the wisdom of our children and youth. 

Children's Message

For Children - Sunday Mornings

We love having babies, children and youth as part of our community!

Children of all ages are welcome in worship, and we always have activity bags and a time for the young during our Sunday morning worship time.

Additionally, we have:

Nursery every Sunday for children ages 6 months - 4 years 

Children's Worship for elementary aged-children on 2nd & 4th Sundays

Pre-register My Kids

For Youth - 1st & 3rd Sundays, 11:00 am

Youth in 6th-12th grades are invited to join youth leaders Sara & Daniel Gardner to deepen in their social & spiritual connections as well to serve our wider community to make the world a better place. This is a space where all are welcome -- whoever you are, whatever you believe and however you express yourself! The group meets during the school year.

 

Lunch is provided.

Your First Visit

Visiting us for the first time? No fear! Our friendly greeters will show you where things are so you and your children can feel at home as soon as you arrive.

 

We will meet your family and answer any questions you may have.

We can't wait to meet you!

Safety

Volunteers in our Kids programs are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children while they are in worship. Every volunteer is screened with a background check. Don't worry parents - we've got this!

What We Teach

Your kids will experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and God's love for humanity and creation. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. Our goal at First Congregational Church is for your children to learn about and experience God's expansive love every Sunday. They will learn about Jesus and his teachings and they will reflect on how those teachings connect with their lives. They will also make friends and have a lot of fun!
