Giving
Jesus teaches us that generosity is a way of life.
It is a practice that enriches our lives.
There is a joy that comes in giving.
We find meaning in giving to something that matters to us.
Thank you for your support!
At First Congregational Church we give thanks for our shared generosity that provides the resources for the ministries to which we have been called. We encourage one another to make a yearly pledge in support of our church’s mission. A pledge says, “I am a part of something larger than me. I believe in what we are doing as a church and in who we are becoming together in Christ.” Pledging also helps our leadership responsibly discern the viability of funding our ministry and mission initiatives. To learn more about pledging and to help discern how much to give, please speak with our Pastor.
We also recognize that people give to things they care about in a variety of ways. In addition to pledging, you are welcome to make one-time, weekly, monthly, or yearly contributions. We are grateful for every gift and covenant to use our resources with great care and integrity of purpose.
Support the Youth of the church.
Other Ways to Give
Emergency Relief Fund
We realize that many within our local communities are facing financial difficulties. If this is you or someone you know, please reach out to our Pastor (thandiwe@lovelanducc.org) for a confidential conversation. Your need and any assistance you receive will remain confidential between you and our Pastor.
Unaccompanied Youth
First Congregational Church is involved and commited to a local mission. We partner with Thompson School District to support youth in our community who do not have a supportive adult in their lives. Your gifts to this fund ensure that these youth have the money they need to fill their tanks with gas, pay for a phone, participate in sports and, perhaps even more importantly, to know that their community cares about them.
Time and Talents
Financial support is critical to the ongoing ministry of our congregation. So too are other ways to give of yourself. Serving on a Team or Committee, planning a worship season, volunteering your time and sharing your expertise are essential ways to support our shared ministry. The work of tending God's beloved community is the work of many hands and hearts! Thank you!
