Children's Faith Formation

At First Congregational Church, we celebrate children and families as an integral part of our community. Their emotional and spiritual life matters to us. Through art, spiritual practice, bible exploration and service opportunities we seek to help our children love God and follow Jesus.

We believe in life-long faith formation that begins with our young people. Our Sunday school program  (called Children's Worship) is offered during the worship hour following the children's message on 2nd & 4th Sundays. On the first Sunday of each month, children and youth are invited to remain in the sanctuary and worship with their families as we share in Communion.

Children's Worship (Sunday School)

Preschool through 5th grade, 10:15 am on 2nd & 4th Sundays. Children begin in Sanctuary and transition to Sunday School on 2nd & 4th Sundays following our Children's Moment in the sanctuary. On 1st, 3rd & 5th Sundays, children are invited to stay with their families in the sanctuary. Activity bags are available in the cozy corner and can be used in your pew.

Worried about your kid's wiggles? That's okay! Children's movement (and noise!) are welcome parts of our worship life together. WHOEVER you are: however young or old, however wiggly or still, however quiet or noisy, YOU are welcome!
