I am grateful for you! This last Sunday, as our moderator Paul Heintzleman read out the many things we've accomplished this last year and we responded with a stomp-stomp-clap, I couldn't help but feel joy and gratitude. If 2021 was a year of Conversation, Discernment and Affirmation (the words I used in my reflections), I wonder what this year will be. I wonder what this year will bring. In Paul's words: "What is next?"
Some things I am excited and hopeful about are opportunities for connection. Confirmation class, our Mission & Outreach Sunday (February 6), Rev. Dr. Anthony Scott (our Associate Conference Minister) visiting and preaching for us on February 20, mission trips and camp for our children and youth, Conference-wide book studies and conversations on Racial Justice, deepening our connection with the wider community through service and relationship-building.
I am grateful that whatever is next, we know that God journeys with us. We are paying attention for God's leading and guidance. We are looking for where love is calling us outside of our comfort zones, challenging us and moving us to walk differently in the world. And I am grateful that, whatever is next, we get to do this in community with one another. Thank you!
With love and blessings,
