Holy Week Offerings

Palm Sunday, March 25, 10am -  Choir Cantata

The annual Choir Cantata will be performed during the service on March 25, and we are really excited for this year's program, Come to the Cross and Remember. Christ's journey to the cross is filled with images of His sacrificial love for us: the Palms, the Cup and the Bread, the Nails, the Crown of Thorns, and more. These images form the centerpiece of Come to the Cross and Remember. The choral and congregational music will explore these themes as we visually create a tableau symbolic of Christ's sacrifice for us. Haunting, transportive, majestic, and familiar melodies, along with a moving narration, will be an inspirational way to start Holy Week, and we encourage everyone to join us.

Maundy Thursday, March 29, 7 pm - Tenebrae service

We will recall the story of Jesus’ final days, the Last Supper, his suffering and death. Communion will be celebrated.

Good Friday, March 30, 7 pm - Ecumenical Good Friday Service (First Christian Church, 2000 North Lincoln Ave in Loveland)

We will honor the final hours of Christ's life with scripture, song, prayer and interpretations of the crucifixion.  Pastors, liturgists and choirs from four churches will be participating.  The service is at First Christian Church, 2000 North Lincoln Ave in Loveland.

Easter, April 1, 6:30 am - Sunrise Service (Frank and Mary Kaufman's house (502 S CR 9E))

A sunrise service will be held outside at Frank and Mary Kaufman's house (502 S CR 9E).  The service will begin with the rising of the sun, and continue with a simple service celebrating the Resurrection. Pancakes and hot chocolate to follow!
